My name is Qumran Taj but most people call me 'Q' or simply The Wizard.
 

My life began in a poverty-stricken home back in the ‘olden days’ of the 1950’s. Mom was an occasional churchgoer and dad worked 2 and 3 jobs to support the family, which included my baby brother. At some point dad found religion.  The next couple of decades saw me growing up in the church and learning the Bible cover to cover.  Eventually I became a Christian Minister and teacher, a public lecturer and spiritual mentor. There I was, bringing sinners to Jesus! Qumran was the picture of the upstanding, law abiding, God fearing soldier of Christ.

 

There was something out of place behind that picture though. From the tender age of 6, I knew there was something different about me. Odd psychic impressions, my sensitivity to ambient energies, spirits, and ghosts were a part of me. I could not deny these things but I could never express my inner reality to anyone because, according to my church, all such special "knowing" and supernatural abilities were from the Devil. 

 

At 10 years old I felt compelled to tie my father’s long sleeve shirt around my neck as a makeshift wizards cloak. I officiated over my nightstand altar with a single candle burning and two “Grimoires,” The Witching Hour and Dr. Strange, my two favorite comic books!  Honestly, I had no clue what I was doing. It just felt right.

 

Fast forward 25 years or so and I had officially ended my ministry in the church.  While the extensive Biblical education I got is something I'm grateful for, my life would NEVER again be dictated by religious leaders who presume to speak for God. Spiritual truth is not the exclusive possession of any one religion. God is BIGGER than any religion could contain. You would think people who claim to worship God would already know that.

 

The next stop on the spirituality express was nature-based paths. I helped found 2 eclectic Wiccan covens. Nowadays I mentor, instruct and walk the glorious path of a magick practicing wizard sorcerer. Released from the shackles of religious close-mindedness I was free to develop my natural psychic gifts! The mystical life of the wizard/ witch/sorcerer is my truest calling.

• ~Counselor and psychic to thousands of individuals over 3 decades.
